"Under Milk Wood", Swansea to Laugharne Road Run

Bracelet Bay to Laugharne, 21st June 2009

Club members Nick Willis, Lionel Rosser, Goeff Powell, Peter Davies, Ted Holley and Paul Taylor, were at this event and Bracelet Bay car park was the meeting point. At around 10.15am the entrants left Bracelet Bay and drove to via Fforestfach, Llanelli, Carmarthen, St Clears to Laugharne. The weather varied from overcast to sunny along the route.

Our group of six "diverted" from the prescribed route and at the Fforestfach roundabout headed for the M4 where after a sedate drive we arrived in Laugharne at about 12.15 - in time to get a meal before the rest of the entrants arrived! We tentatively drove across the small river crossing point and parked up on the grass beneath the castle. After collecting our model Land Rover and book from the sponsor's tent we strolled round looking at the other vehicles.

There were too many vehicles on display to comment on but one worthy of note was a Pemberton Kit Car.
